painting i did based on "the ballet class" by edgar degas, but with the characters from princess tutu. rue stands in the foreground with her back turned in a red romantic tutu. the alligator ballerina sits next to rue. duck/ ahiru is asleep on the piano, and piké and lillie look up at her mischievously expecting her to get in trouble soon. mr. cat stands alert in the center of the room with a cane, looking away from duck. other dancers stand in the background, including miss goatette, anteaterina, mytho, and fakir.
