It took me 5 years to check this off my bucket list. Thank you @marciecolleen.bsky.social and @storybreathing.bsky.social for a beautiful book.
Librarian on vacation!

What a beautiful book that many kids will relate to! Exquisite illustrations! Thank you for sharing!
This #GivingTuesday, help us build a library at the Jane Adeny Memorial School where every child sees themselves in the stories they read. Your gift provides "mirror" books and furniture for our continued project in Kenya!

Oh my goodness. What a gift she was!
All Right
And attend a library program if your library offers them! ☀️
As I was cutting my lawn this morning, my neighbor’s yard service showed up. One of them took it upon himself to blow off my driveway, sidewalk and lawn and I’m am reminded there is still good in the world. #SpreadKindness
At JAMS in Kenya, we’ve seen firsthand how school libraries can become sanctuaries of healing as well as learning. In response to the need for emotional support for students, we created a Calming Corner—an inviting space designed to promote mental well-being.

Hard at work and loving every minute of it! Today we’ve been busy labeling books for the library at JAMS in Kenya—getting each one ready to inspire, empower, and educate. Every sticker is a step toward building something beautiful for this incredible community. #LibraryLove #BooksChangeLives
This makes my ❤️ sing! Look at how engaged these students are! The three of you have transformed lives.
What a difference! Just beautiful! ❤️
My son just sent this from the Cincinnati airport. It’s a “little free library” where travelers can take or donate a book to read during their travels. I love this idea! Every airport needs this!
Just finished Octopus Moon by Bobbie Pyron. This exquisitely written book in verse is such an important story for anyone suffering with depression. First purchase for all libraries. Kids need this book.
#RenéeWatson understands grief. In this beautiful new book about loss, grief, love and healing she takes us through a journey that feels like a comforting hug. All the Blues in the Sky is a must read for anyone experiencing loss. A must purchase for libraries. This book is truly amazing.
Beautiful walk at Chicago Botanic Gardens on a bright winter day!
Thank you for writing it! I’m glad there is even a sliver of a chance for a sequel. It would also make an amazing movie! Just saying…..
I agree! It’s one of the reasons I posted. I’m hoping more authors will consider the topic.
I love these pics Lisa! TY for always sharing them. Such beauty in nature even during winter.
Couldn’t agree more with this thread. Kids need to see themselves in books. I had a patron come in looking for a kids book about kids with cancer. When children find themselves in difficult situations they often turn to books to help them through it. When dealing with a tough topic, levity helps!
Literally just finished it and I love it too! Would love to see this book on the IL Bluestem list!
Just had the privilege of reading The Tenth Mistake of Hank Hooperman by @choldenko.bsky.social. It rockets to the top of my all time fave list. A must read and a must recommend! Our kids need this book. Gennifer, I hope we meet Hank, Boo, and Ray again in a sequel!
Merry Christmas Sander! Thank you for always brightening my day!
Absolutely! Thrilled this bill passed!
Love this series! I recommend it to kids all the time. Can’t wait for this one!
Have you heard about Khanmigo? Anderson Cooper did an excellent piece on 60 Minutes about the positive use of this AI tool for teachers and students.
