I would like to see ranked choice and coalition parties that can be fired if they’re unable to govern. Those systems are resisting fascism better (wide margin on what counts as “better,” granted) than the US system. No more buying politicians either. I’m sick of billionaire reality tv.

Because capitalism reward short term ruthless self interest even when the end result is mass suffering and death, and most people are so afraid of loss that they aren’t thinking clearly or willing to risk grief and violence. They are hoping the next guy elected will somehow fix it.

When capitalism falters, fascism rises. We are past our environmental limits and we will not see the end of fascism until we see the end of capitalism, or the end of civilization. We need to talk about what kind of world we want to live in, and we need to fight together to build it.

How does one find their way about here? I’m looking for other social reproduction queer and trans people and companionable internationalists generally. Also good lit/music/art, public health, political analysis, climate science, scifi, and whatever the hell we’re going to do about fascism.
