Our team were lucky to spend time with pupils at Dalton St Michael's, Skelmersdale chatting all things rivers ๐
The pupils shared what theyโve been learning in their lessons, and we connected that knowledge to their local rivers, so they can help to tackle some of the challenges we face today.

Thereโs so much life in our rivers, but sometimes you have to look closely! ๐๐
This invertebrate sample has been taken from Black Brook, where it meets the River Yarrow.
These creatures are vital for our ecosystem- feeding on algae, plants, and decaying matter, and providing a food source too!
Our baby trees are loving the sunshine! ๐ฑ๐
Right now the crab apple, blackthorn, and rowan seeds sown are all starting to germinate.
These seeds were sown in the autumn as part of our plan to reduce our reliance on nursery grown trees and instead grow our own!

Thanks to I Cycle in Clitheroe, one of our supporters will be enjoying a weekend hire of two electric bikes as part of our Hodder Together for Salmon campaign.

Last week we said spring had sprungโฆ
Were we technically correct?
โ๏ธ Yes.
Did we speak too soon?
โ๏ธ Also yes.
Yesterday our team were working at the very top of the catchment, north of Horton in Ribblesdale. They got a taste of springโฆ followed by rain, hail and snow ๐จ๏ธ
Itโs time to kick start the spring clean-up season. โป๏ธ
