Lots of votes for DS!! I thought maybe the larger screen and original translation might sway some people, but I guess the updates outweigh those things…

@richardcobbett.bsky.social two different suggestions already! I guess I’m most interested in which has the more interesting/fun/better script?
Thinking of playing Chrono Trigger soon. Thoughts on whether I should do the SNES or DS version?
To contradict Oscar Wilde: sometimes the truth IS pure and simple :)
ITA is low-key maybe my favourite video game podcast right now. Brendon and Stephen are intelligent, funny, and fuckin ADORE video games. Cannot recommend them higher.
Hey, thanks so much for the enthusiastic response to the P4G ep! We also put it on YouTube if you want to listen there along with ambient footage from the game
Text: The Well-Edited Game: How Professional Editing Elevates Our Medium Jess Haskins, Marissa Koors Editing is an integral part of the creative process in traditional media. But in games, editorial responsibilities are scattered across disciplines or skipped altogether. What do game editors actually do? Are editors only for narrative games? How does editing interact with other aspects of production? What should you consider before working with an editor? We’ll demystify the editorial process and make the case for including editors in every game’s development. We’ll break down the different types of editing, highlight successful interventions from past projects, and share why we believe 2026 is the year of the game editor.
Hey, I'm gonna be speaking at @narrascope.org in Albany in June! I'm delighted to team up with fellow editor Marissa Koors to dig into the hot new trend of having your game edited and how you can get in on the craze. 2026, year of the game editor!

This is excellent!
If you've played the House of Hikmah, the beautiful Arab-made narrative platformer about the grief of losing a parent - please do leave a review. It's really hard to make bespoke human games like this in 2026, and the team really gave it their all.

Hey! It's my birthday! If we haven't met, I'm John. I do writing/narrative design games... including ones you might have heard of. I've just wrapped up doing rewrites and VO direction for an upcoming AAA shooter so I'm currently looking for the next adventure.
If you’re developing a narrative/adventure game and want to add voice acting, or your script needs editing, consider reaching out to The Game Editors!

What do you expect it to go for?
TR-49 patch is through review, should be out imminently, if not already!
Good news for Switch owners picking up TR-49: Cecil has written a new description of how the machine *should* behave. He's feeding it in as we speak.
The revision process will take an hour, tops? Put the kettle on. One sugar.
Screenshot from Black Ops 6. A well-dressed man sits at a casino table.
Screenshot from Skullgirls. A man wears a strange suit made of fur, looking over his shoulder anxiously as he reaches for an empty folding chair.
Screenshot from Marvel's Spider-Man 2. A man dressed in a full Spider-Suit and mask stands across from another man wearing glasses. They face each other, holding each other's shoulders firmly.

Hey there! I’m Ash and I'm a writer/narrative designer working on [NDA] as well as [NDA 2]. I previously wrote for Destiny 2, Call of Duty: BO6 and MWIII, Skullgirls, and Spider-Man 2, as well as some board games for Disney & Marvel. I also write on comics, such as Ringo Award–winning Transphoria.

Honestly just mostly astonished at how good the writing is. The characters really feel like classic Pokemon characters, I love it. As someone who hasn’t beaten a pkmn game since… sapphire? It’s just a delightful time
@bb.wavelengths.online yo! Just wanted to say thank you for your talk on Pokemon Lazarus some time ago - it encouraged me to pick up an emulation device and give it all a try. I am *loving* Lazarus! Thanks again
Not only was this great fun to do, but I get to work with Ian every day, so it especially fun to explore all sorts of topics with him and Jon both.
We covered so much here. Check it out!

It was a very intense 24 hours fixing some last minute issues but I’ve been playing it all afternoon and the Switch version is now feeling GREAT (patch hopefully will be approved very soon!)
Super excited to have it out on Switch!
