Prayers up for the hospitality workers. Between the buses running Saturday schedule and the garages charging quadruple, good luck actually getting to work so you can be in the weeds and get yelled at for hours.

Man I miss Rite Aid. The opioid epidemic is obviously terrible but I fail to see how creating a pharmacy shortage in PA and OH is some kind of justice.
We joined many of you in welcoming the PG’s new owners. Then celebrations got cut short. Folks in Baltimore were told our staff is getting halved. The CEO was dodgy on the record re: unions.
Will you sign our pledge marking the need for robust staff & a union PG?

It's an r/Pittsburgh repeated talking point.
Who knows how the draft will go, but everyone calling this a trial run for Pittsburgh hosting the Super Bowl is delulu. Unless they're also calling for a new football stadium.
A shiver ran over me upon reading this. Why would you hex us like that before 9 a.m.
sidewalk chalk drawing of a raccoon "wearing" a clump of weeds as a tutu, balancing on one leg with her arms and fingers akimbo.

My mom's house has sheets from my childhood (40 years ago) and I've yet to find sheets as an adult that don't get holes within 3 years.

He is teaching her politeness but she is the only one exhibiting any courtesy to the other human beings around that she isn't immediately related to. 🙃
This dad in the grocery store is yelling at his daughter for not talking nicely to her brother when she told him to move. Meanwhile they've been blocking the main produce aisle for several minutes and she is the only one with any awareness of this.
When I was a young bartender if I drank too much coffee it gave me the shakes but I could drink a sugarfree red bull at like 8 pm and still go to sleep when I got home at 3 a.m.
Doing stuff within easy driving distance is now what folks like Drew are talking about I don't think. Like yes many kids in my area will visit Pitt regardless, it's a couple miles down the road. But if they're going to school out-of-state they just go and hope it works out.
This is the answer, for 40 years ago and for now. Because kids who's families don't have money still aren't doing this.
Lol good for them. It's gorgeous out. Carnival is usually some combo of cold and wet.

Just got so close to getting run over in a crosswalk at a stop sign that I slapped their fucking driver window with my hand. 💀
BEIRUT (AP) - Israeli strikes hit several dense commercial and residential areas in central Beirut Wednesday afternoon without warning, hours after a ceasefire was announced in the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.

An account you're going to want to immediately block if you've ever spoken about kids' right to read
No idea who the actual person behind the account is, but they love targeting librarians over on X and they'll likely just be looking to screenshot your posts here for clout (such that it is) there
I accidentally went to a science school for college and I'm horrible at all that, but I have a couple of friends who have now worked on the James Webb and the Artemis project, and holy shit I am so proud of them.
