Hello.
It's big board szn. Stakes making a late bid for Day 1 while Jermod McCoy has been red flagged for the medical on his knee. Both are a risk at #32, which would fans prefer taking a shot on? Bear in mind that Schneider interprets medical as 1 or 2 contract guys, not simply on or off the draft board.
This is great framing. While I do like a couple of those outliers myself, it probably will be better for the teams taking the boring B-tier prospects who fit typical NFL molds

While I don't expect Seahawks to select a RB early in the NFL Draft, the consensus from Insiders that John Schneider desperately needs a real plan going into the 2026 season isn't necessarily wrong. This team is young + cheap which will drive the roster through this SB window. Achane gets new deal.
I have 10 total OL going on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft. Who said positional value is dead? Inside the Top 5 maybe, but... ๐

Related: Imagine being down so bad that Jacoby Brissett is holding out for a new deal and thinks there's a reasonable chance he can successfully blackmail your franchise. Oh my days! The Cardinals will take whatever they have to in return before selecting Ty Simpson. They have no choice. ๐ญ #NFL
It's Mock 3.0 on the TL! Some thoughts:
Cardinals want Ty Simpson but not at #3. With 6 teams having multiple picks on Day 1, they'll find a trade partner.
OL is the thing. Take the Over (8) I have 10 total!
Miami opts for the young RB and trades De'Von Achane to Seahawks for #32.
LFG! #GoHawks
Happy Birthday, Stef! ๐ฅณ
No doubt
Here's a preview of where the Super Bowl champion #Seahawks stand heading into this week's NFL Draft, including a look at some of their biggest needs.

This' one of the most informative but also heart-warming pieces of Draft content you can watch this year. Love seeing @natetice.bsky.social and dad, former Seahawk Mike Tice chop it up on the trench players. I'm sold on Bisontis now. Support the Tice Foundation if you can.

All due respect, and I might otherwise agree with the point you're making, but this deal will never look like a bargain. ๐
This' my annual reminder that scouting the Draft starts with self(pro)-scouting, not college scouting. If you don't feel the prospect will reasonably compete for playing time, the pick is essentially just a camp body. I believe Jeremiah Pritchett is being underrated by 12s consider need on Thursday.
Brutally savage any tech bro you happen to encounter in life. Thank you.
Oh WTF. These assholes and their robots and AI. Fuck off ๐
There almost nothing the Seahawks could do in this draft that would piss me off. It's largely inconsequential in any event because the current roster is young and talented. Almost no one in this draft will break through as a starter. But if they use 32 or 64 on a RB I will set my jersey on fire. ๐ฅ
The more of these 2026 rookie Running Backs I watch, the less I like them. You've got a Top 5 pick and a whole lot of nothing in terms of value. Running back is already a devalued dime-a-dozen position in the NFL and a pick used on a RB this year is a wasted pick. Maybe Jonah Coleman Day 3. ๐ซท
I'm not anti Will Anderson. And I know the salary cap will go up and lessen the % of cap number in the future, however, the Texans already had him under club control through 2027! This was so overkill. To reset the market two years early just inflates every other DL contract. Truly, FU Texans.
I know I know. This is insane any way you cut it. I'm not using terms like "QB money" or "$50M WHA???" No, I'll point out that a 17% of cap deal is just too much for a position player, but more importantly, you don't have an ensemble cast member making TWICE as much as your QB for the next 2 years.
Final mock draft coming next week. Keeping in mind that it takes two to tango, you may or may not see a lot of trades on Thursday, but I do expect at least two, involving some combination of AZ, DAL & SF. Throw in BUF and NYJ as well. It's hard to post a mock longer than Rd 1, so we'll start there.
This doesn't necessarily mean on Day 1, though I think that is where they could do max damage, it may in fact come after a short jump back, as John Schneider prefers to move around strategically in Day 2. He's a sniper in Rounds 2 and 3 so he may already have a plan given how the cards fall.
IF the later rounds are essentially priority free agents in any other year THEN you don't want to give them guaranteed rookie contracts just to exercise club control.
IF the above two concepts are true THEN Seahawks are likely to trade up early in the Draft.
Anticipating the Seahawks draft strategy is a pretty straight forward thought experiment. You can break it down into a series of If/Then statement.
IF the class if poor THEN you want fewer picks, maximizing the quality that is present.
The Seahawks won da Super Bowl
Brady Henderson today on the chances of Seahawks successfully trading out of the Day 1 in the NFL Draft. At this stage, you'd have to believe that the better value may indeed be trading UP more cheaply than usual if there a player you like in the 20s. Further up the board is just fantasy podcast BS.
I'm really out on the cornerbacks at this point. But more importantly that my opinion is John Schneider's, who I think will revert to mid/late round preference for defensive backfield depth. I may be the only Pritchett fan in Seattle today but that's OK. I like Coleman Day2 after a trade if possible
It'll be interesting to see what trades are happening prior to or during the first round of the NFL Draft. Some buzz about Miami moving up into the Top 10 for Love, which puts Achane back in play. NY Giants are struggling to re-sign Dexter Lawrence and he's asked for a trade. Seahawks are in on both
