Congrats on getting so much accomplished. I’ve had these days before. Lately I’ve needed to push appointments or reschedule, ugh.

I have this one on hold at the library. Can’t wait to get into it!

Happy belated birthday! I’m looking forward to reading both of these as well. I’ve read the first two of the Tawada trilogy and I’ve been intrigued by the Salter for a while now. This is a much-needed reminder to place a couple holds with the library soon.

I saw this recently and I couldn’t resist picking it up, too! I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet but this week’s book mail is going to be exciting. I’m glad to hear it makes a good companion to the reading.

Ooh, I ordered both of these books recently. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on them.

DONATE BOOKS | childrenread

You’re welcome! Friends of the Library may take all of the books. If not, Children Read accepts pre-kindergarten books. www.childrenreadatlanta.org/donations Or it might be fun to deposit books into various Little Libraries, especially near schools and parks. littlefreelibrary.org/map/

Friends of the Library Who are Friends of the Library? Friends of the Library organizations are separate nonprofit organizations from the library and are…

It depends on the location. You can call your local branch to see if they accept donations directly. As far as I understand, Friends of the Library (a separate non-profit org) handles book donations for many of the libraries in metro-Atlanta (as an example). www.fulcolibrary.org/friends-of-t...

Seems like a lot of folks might need to hear this today. Some fortitude for the weekend and days ahead 🧡

I read a short story (Moist House) from Kate Folk’s collection of short stories (Out There) a few years ago. You may be able to find it on Electric Literature. I’ve wanted to read more but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. Love Katie Kitamura. Need to round out my collection of her work.

I’m interested in all four of these books. I’ve got at least three of them of my current TBR. Need to check on Sour Cherry, though. Looking forward to reading your thoughts on them!

Glad you’re feeling better! I added the Garza book to my TBR recently. The rest of your haul is lovely, too. Thanks for sharing!

I read it in 2022. It was just okay to me. I may have to reread it eventually since I don’t remember too much about it.

They can’t see outside of their own experience or limited imagination. Truly a lack of empathy and curiosity.

Love fCC. I tried to pop in and say hi earlier! Twitch was constantly freezing for me so it didn’t work out. Hope to catch you soon.
