Philosophy’s Pistachio Paradise is delicious! It’s everything I look for in a pistachio fragrance. Super nutty & the creaminess of the cinnamon milk just adds a warmth and balance that not cloying or overly sweet. The dry is earthy and just really comforting. Ugh, I love it #perfumesky #fragrancesky

Today’s challenge: how many times can I listen to Crystal by Fleetwood Mac before getting sick of it.

Matcha Soft Serve d’Annam
I love the vegetal notes and freshness of the green tea in this fragrance wow! I love the cream notes too however, sadly, there is a powdery note in the dry down that I’m not crazy about.. I’d still wear it though, probably layered with another scent #perfumesky

Fire at Will by Jovoy
I heard a lot about this one. I’m not super blown away, maybe it’s bc I have some similar vanillas. It’s enjoyable! I’d wear it down in the fall! #perfumesky

Hammersmith Tea & Biscuits by 4160 Tuesdays.
This, is a photorealistic cup of black tea with a squeeze of lemon and some biscuits. I love the way the astringency of the tea married with the creaminess (?) of the biscuits, absolutely delicious. Not overpowering, super wearable!

I’m convinced Pale, pale moon will be one of my most played songs this year 😭

Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidee Vanille.
The florals in this one gave me a bit of pause, but I saw that vanilla note and I knew I had to have it and I’m not disappointed but neither am I blown away. It’s a pretty fragrance. I could definitely see myself getting a full bottle of this

This is a mango fragrance that I could see myself reaching for. Although I would save it for a mid- to late afternoon late summer event. Not bright and early on a Sunday morning 🙃

BORNTOSTANDOUT Black Mango Extrait. My gosh this is pretty. I was worried because some of the tropical fruit sense that I’ve smelled are kind of juvenile but this one has a very deep resinoid quality to it. It LASTS. I got some on my braids and my hair smelled like it for days.

The musk and jasmine together is divine, plus I can still detect some fruit in there. I’m really shocked by the way this went from one of my least favourite to probably my top 10 of this round. I gonna do another wear test just to make sure.

J-Scent Honey and Lemon.
Possibly the most surprising sample in this batch of decants. Opens with a generic, true to life honey lemon fragrance with rose (after a short while). I thought this would be the least complex of the bunch but the dry down is something BEAUTIFUL.
