There are many reasons I believe in the separation of Church and State and "you can't disagree with the head of state, that's against theology" is probably the most prominent "absolutely not" scenario.

Hey, so ICE is still kidnapping and disappearing people in the United States.

Just because they got quieter about it doesn't make it okay.

Abolish ICE. Chinga la Migra.

Achilles and Patroclos, standing next to each other in front of a raging fire. Achilles is outfitted for battle and looks wistfully into the distance, while Patroclos ties some laces of his armor, also looking sad. Behind them and above there's the mosaic of a warrior in his chariot.

Hey, y'all. My friends are trying to sign on an apartment for me. If nothing messes up, that means this goal could help me be housed more permanently, instead of just in hotels month by month. Any help or shares is appreciated!

This has kept happening since it happened to Linda Tirado, and it happened before that - police know they aren't supposed to aim them at people's heads and are doing it anyway despite that. End qualified immunity.

same Overton Window-shattering tactic he’s always used: Even if worst doesn’t happen tonight - rhetorically he’s opened up possibility of the unimaginable, making lesser (but still horrible) actions seem moderate by comparison… all increasing likelihood that one day the worst really will happen

everything we are seeing now is the consequence of having a political environment in which indifference to the deaths and suffering of other people - even by the state whose supposed responsibility is to safeguard their welfare - is a superpower rather than a political liability
