Absolutely incredible.

NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.

Watch with sound on.

Was almost gonna buy a new one but all the cheap ones I was looking at earlier seemed to have had reports of the same issues, so i had to deal with trying to salvage my current one and man i'm glad i did. Used to run slightly too fast but now I've finagled it to play just right

a man in a plaid shirt is standing in front of a group of skeletons . Alt: alt text: beetlejuice grabbing his beetle from the 1988 cult classic beetlejuice. in the original scene he's shouting "NICE FUCKIN' MODEL!" extra text and context: bluesky is suffering a lot of outages today, making the site near completely unusable. i believe it is a bad idea to use ai to code a website, as it may straight up leave open security vulnerabilities and bugs. it is more difficult to bugfix and update code that you didn't even write yourself, and various systems may be working in different ways slowing down the whole website like somebody doodling scribbles for road infrastructure. the website failing to load all over the place today could be an upstream server issue, but who knows, because it's ai-generated code luigi, you didn't write it.

NICE FUCKIN' WEBSITE

Once I found a hidden pocket on my coat. 'I can put my banana in that' I thought, only to discover there was already a banana in it, dating from the last time I found this pocket.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to find a month-old banana in their pocket

Indie animation is the Internet’s latest craze! It all started some time in 2019. Nobody had ever thought to put cartoons on the Internet before then.

Keep spreading the word and donating if you can! We're halfway there and we just need to go just a bit more to save his stuff!

His best friend Rob is planning on compiling some Bob's art into a potential book to honor his memory n legacy, but only if he's able to save his work first.

Donate to Preserve Bob McKnight’s Incredible Art Legacy, organized by Robert Griggs Hi, I’m Robert Griggs. I’ve worked in animation for over 30 years. You all… Robert Griggs needs your support for Preserve Bob McKnight’s Incredible Art Legacy

The late great Bob McKnight's artwork is at risk of being seized and destroyed if something isn't done about it. His dearest friend and mentee Rob Griggs has set up a GoFundMe to help save his property, including his extensive art archives. Bob LOVED animation and it's history, help preserve it!

Don't like the idea that needing to onboard new masses of consumers onto an old existing ip is seen as good and necessary.

Very different from passing down a story/idea generationally, but it's treated the same way, even though it isn't.

Also fans of something saying things like "This is good for the brand" really skeeves me out. It's cooperate exec talk, brand manager talk.

Back then the idea of The Flintstones existing underneath The Jetsons or there being a zillion Ranger Smiths were just dumb observational gags or playground small talk humor, but now things similar to that are seen as "viable theory crafting" and "world building opportunities"

"A moment of silence for sora"

3 weeks ago 641 182 7 4

"Flop" is the wrong word here. Sora NEVER had a pathway to profitability. The more people who used it the more money they would LOSE. It was a hype-machine designed to draw big wall-street investor bucks, NOT to generate profits.

As it turns out, trying to rapidly mass produce and shit out endless content sludge had low quality and unsustainable results after all. Who could've ever seen this coming??? Its mad!!
I guess we'll all just have to use our own brains and talents the old fashioned way..... ughh, the agony of it all
