With a real flintlock pistol... for settling rules disputes.
I just took a dump in the kitchen. It's all over the counter tops and walls. You didn't help me clean it up, so go make your own dinner.
I tried watching the first couple of episodes of Picard when they came out but it just wasn't doing it for me. Better late than never, I just returned, and am now in season 2. In my opinion it's the best of all the new Trek. Low bar, I know - but I'm enjoying it. Surprise! #StarTrek
...and this is how the robot uprising begins.
OK... it's legit excellent.
We're heading out to see Project Hail Mary in IMAX today! I've been in love with this story since first reading it about four years ago, and I'm super excited to see it translated to screen.
First pic of Chalamet in แ แ แ แฎ 3.
I was a huge Firefly fan in the day (I even ran a fan site and edited a Jane Espenson book of short stories), so I'm excited by the news of a possible animated series. Would I prefer live action? YES! If this is well done though... I'll take it. #shiny #BringBackFirefly
BUT, to your point... probably better than Win 12.
Linux can be fairly user friendly, but it also is limited when it comes to commercial software & games. I'm a Mac person, and though it runs on a BSD-Unix kernel, it's really it's own thing separate of Linux. For gamers though, neither are GREAT options.
It's always an option for a short period of time, but eventually you will need to if you want to keep running the latest apps and stay secure. OR... you install Linux.
Don't tease me with Berlin Airlift. Is it coming out this year or not!?
Mom is like "I LOVE THE KARDASHIANS!"
Good! This means Purgatorio is likely only another two months away for Canada. I swear, someone is having a good laugh over cross-border shipping.
Games from @phalanxgames.bsky.social always just LOOK really good. They put a premium on presentation, and that's evident with the box art for "Tora Tora Tora!", which has a lovely linotype quality and also vaguely reminds me of this old poster for the 1970 film.
I'm going to casually go hunting for a copy of 1889, I think. We'll see what happens. :)
I remember thinking I might start with those two, but I ended up getting sucked in by wargaming instead. I still don't think I'm a true 18xx'er - but I'd just like to give one a try. Maybe I should just join a game on 18xx.Games.
You know what? I owned 1846, and I owned 1830, and I didn't play either of them - then I sold them.
1889 was actually one that captured my interest a few years before it got its reprint, and I had heard it was a good entry point. Do you know if GTG is still doing reprints?
Hey, this one is going out to all the 18xx people out there. Is there a good introductory 3p 18xx game, and if so what is it? Also, if I enjoy the concept of the Operating round much more than the Stock rounds... should I just stick to Age Of Steam or Cube Rails? #18xx #ccmf
I thought I was pretty good at Thurn & Taxis but after playing it a few times on BGA, I think I'm missing something. I won a game yesterday, but tanked this one today. Whoa.
I really ought to credit the amazing art of Keith Rocco. I love his paintings so much.
"Cowards! Iโll show you how a good soldier should die!" - Corporal Rouache at Montenotte, 1796.
@vucasimulations.bsky.social has some beautiful art - and the box art for Saint-Lรด: The Capital Of The Ruins is a good example.
Hiroshige II's work is lovely, thankyou for introducing me.
That's lovely. This type of birds-eye representation is super immersive and let's me imagine walking around the landscape, even understanding that it's an abstraction of a massive area. I also really like your banners on this track.
What informed your choices around the lovely colour palette here? You have reds and blues and subtle sage greens bleeding into one another atop the landmasses. I think most artists would have stuck with various shades of green.
