Just got a very AI-generated-sounding invite to come to a reading group and discuss my book "Gone with the Wind".
Maybe I should show up with a wig and stuff.
I am just imagining a thousand math teachers flipping their tables in slow motion like Alan Rickman.
Remember, Democrats have repeatedly advanced measures to ban partisan gerrymandering and Republicans have voted against them time after time.
This is the game Republicans wanted to play. OK, then.
sucks that it’s come to this, but if congressional Republicans wanted to put up a national gerrymandering ban or multi member districts etc, it would pass *for sure*. until then fight fire with fire
batman breaking a gun meme saying "this is the weapon of the enemy. we do not need it. we will not use it" Here Batman is labelled "mathematicians" and the gun is labelled "actual numbers"

Me, trying to be diplomatic: So, general question. Is "clearly written by AI" the tone we're shooting for in our blog posts?
Be careful though, he knows where you live.
Awkwardddddd.
Bet her husband is ok with you flirting with her though...
Replace AI with a rubber duck.
they got the Church of England supporting the Pope now
LOOK AT THIS.
MONTANA, y'all.
I believe that in order to take some small step forward, the word “bird” should be replaced with “saur” in all common names. Mockingsaur. Secretarysaur. Red-winged blacksaur.
HUMMINGSAUR

No wonder everything is terrible.
The same people who "not all men!" get really mad if survivors of sexual assault assumed that maybe not all men.
A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are sitting with their backs towards each other, looking into opposite directions. Blue looks exhausted and annoyed, while Green is frowning with angry thoughts. Green, thinking: I can't be expected to know what you're mad about unless you tell me. What could you even be mad about? If I ask your opinion and you don't tell me the truth, that's on you! Green still continues to think, but raises an eyebrow as Blue turns around to kiss his neck affectionately. Green, thinking: It's not my job to guess whether you're lying ab- Green, speaking out loud: Aren't you mad at me? Blue, suddenly not weary at all but deeply baffled, looks at Green in confusion, while Green looks just as bewildered. Blue: What on earth would I be mad at you for? Green: I have no idea!

me: why does no one take my threats seriously?
my threats:
Like, it should be a quick impeachment, no dragging it out for 6 months. Do the thing, tick the box, we've tried the "right" way and it didn't work so now what? It should be a first step, not the entire remedy.
(sorry, I've also been thinking about this a lot recently!)
So that we can also impeach the next asshole who tries something like this; or better yet, the next asshole decides the consequences aren't worth risking.
And so that we can head off a lot of tedious "the remedy for this is impeachment" obstruction (from both sides) when it comes to next steps.
there's just no way that strange women lying in ponds distributing swords could be even half as bad as this
*hugsssss*
Screenshot from the Guardian's live blog. Transcript follows: Deliberately attacking civilian infrastructure indiscriminately would violate international law and could be prosecuted as a war crime. Per NBC News’s report: “Targeting infrastructure that is considered ‘dual use’ could allow the administration to argue the US is hitting military targets and avoid the technical definition of a war crime.”
Splitting hairs over whether something is *technically* a war crime or not feels a lot like the arguments over whether someone is technically a pedophile.
There is literally no action that I personally can take that will change this outcome one iota. Hell yes, I’m disassociating.
