There are so so many millennials out there that were forced to throw out their hobbies by their wives and they just went along with it.

Older generation was raised that everyone has to fit in and be black and white, change takes time.

If you claim to love someone who collects toys or watches cartoons or does something else "for kids" but want them to grow up and change the "childish" behavior/hobbies/interests you don't really love them, you love an idea of them, a version of them you've created and decided is better.
