This set of “policy animations”, from @justinoaksford.bsky.social and Francesca, are one of the best educational tools I’ve seen in housing advocacy.

Do you care about our beautiful planet earth and want Seattleites to have more housing? Well there’s a fun rally with VIP speakers, testimony support, food, and more happening on Monday, April 6th! Follow @futurewisewa @houseourneighbors for more info!
Follow @futurewise.bsky.social @houseourneighbors.bsky.social for more info, RSVP. Please share widely. We need a big turnout Monday!
do you know if the parcels going to Seattle are earmarked for SSHD? or if not what they may be for?
very frustrating since we literally fund red states. I vote we find money somewhere, at least for the next couple years
I was expecting $0 until 2028 at least. or maybe things will change with the midterms? sucks but isn't surprising. he's trying his hardest to make us need oil
Chuck Schumer is not exactly who I want to see leading the charge
that’s your cue to slow to a stop in front of their car and ask them what’s wrong
the market started in 1907. in 1907 there were about 1/1000 as many cars on the roads in the US. I propose we allow 1/1000 of the typical number of cars on a road into Pike Place
don't you see all of that happened because it was the 4th year after shops started opening up after covid
pretty tired of FotM's projection (they are a special interest group) and cultlike defense of cars. the only historical period FotM cares about is when THEY formed in 1964, during the height of car culture, before we were humbled by any oil crises
my guess: 40 floors
wow. we only get a 'low pollution neighborhood' pilot (whatever tf that is)
cool, now do cars
it's only for the event. normally cars are allowed on this block
it's a piece of the old viaduct because we're so obsessed with cars that even our car light streets need to have monuments to the good ol' days
@seattledot.bsky.social knows the average speeds are way too high here. the data is damning. but will this project make this area safe or just make the road smoother for people breaking the law and endangering others?
thanks for the live coverage. I didn’t join because I’ve already been to like three engagement meetings about this project and I’m going to another one later today. but maybe I should have seeing as there’s always so much resistance to safety
one of the people I talked to about this very project was concerned about the environmental impact of adding bike lanes (specifically the carbon from all the concrete used)
downtown Seattle folks! (and Belltown and SLU and First Hill folks!) here's a great opportunity to get more involved with street safety
205 days after the grand opening of the new Seattle waterfront, its connection to the rest of the downtown network actually exists!
does the improved bus stop still have a bike rack? it's hard to tell in the photo
ugh this is why I never went to TJ's in Cap Hill. I never tried with a bike though; I think that would be the best option
how do I know? a couple days ago I blocked a car from making an illegal turn into Bell Street Park and the driver laid on the horn and called me retarded
if I blocked a car from having a clear path through an intersection the driver would lay on the horn and then scream that I was retarded
I have to know...why is pink the other option? not white? or brown or green or something?
cool it'll be fun playing chicken with the cars that drive down it for the next few weeks at least
lived in Ballard for eight years
hey @wilsonkatieb.bsky.social I have some inspiration for you
one day the train will have always crossed the lake, and it will be impossible to imagine it otherwise
but today it's a marvel
but Dave Somers said we had nothing to worry about!
