There are many funny things about the Roko's Basilisk wikipedia page, but to me the funniest thing is this completely gratuitous drawing of a basilisk that looks like it was done by a teenager.

I have a big urge to reread Plato's Phaedrus. I read it in high school. It was the first Platonic dialogue I really enjoyed. Though that makes me a bit biased, I think it contains in nuce all that is significant in Plato.
