Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

Nice article but I think electoral reform also has to be part of the discussion. Without it an extreme government, ushered in by economic problems and the media, could simply leave again and nobody wants that level of uncertainty.
And...Even if Starmer came out for Joining, he's not getting my vote!

Four and a half hours after the first departure... The train home is underway. First time I've ever heard people cheer when the door closing warning sounds.

A diesel train to Fredericia was announced without warning and we all got on. Now that train is just sitting at the platform, completely full. We should have left 7 minutes ago, but we didn't.

Absolutely appalling lack of information from DSB at Hovedbanegården. This has been going for hours now. Where are the backup plans? Telling us to get the S train or metro is laughable.

Ah so close. We were walking the full length of this train to get on the rescue train to take us back to Hovedbanegården, but that's full so now we have to wait again.
DSB also say no to replacement buses because the disruption is too widespread.
Cool...

We can't help everyone, therefore we'll help no-one.

I think DSB have forgotten about us. Everyone outside appears to have buggered off and there are no more updates.

Three hours into the journey home on this DSB day. A chap came and poked at the cables with a pole. Then he left again. The mood is not as buoyant as it was. Someone is smoking.

Sitting looking at a train shed wall for two hours whilst DSB/Banedanmark try to work out how to get us off the train. Much excitement an hour ago when a small pair of steps appeared, but our hopes were dashed when they were removed again.

"Please do not try and leave the train. Even if you feel annoyed. It is considered life threatening. It is safe inside the train, but not outside until they can cut off the power."
Very glad I left early to get on this train 🥴

The train to work was overcrowded. The train home just lost a pantograph so we need to wait for evacuation and I guess at some point we'll have to transfer to another train. I was going to drive today too...

Really getting fed up with these trains. Just about managed to fight through to get my seat but the train is absolutely rammed. Put some more carriages on DSB!

I had the same revelation many years ago after visiting the US for work for the first time, then working closely with a company in France on another project. Apart from the language, working with the French was like working with Brits whilst the US felt alien.

Also demonstrates the importance of the rule of law - EU law provides that student visa refusals can be appealed, hence a remedy against the idiotic decisions of low grade fuckwits

A lot of lovely words, from those who still think that some sort of rules-based order has any meaning to the two rogue countries which are causing all the chaos.
They were out of date almost as soon as they were committed to paper.
