“Books are often judged by a cover”
I don’t think anybody cared about how I felt,
Because I’m starting to prioritize a lot about my health.
Everytime I was offered but put back on the shelf,
I now understand that I am comforted by only, myself.

I shoved the knife right back into my wound.
There was no other substitute less painful.
The bleeding stopped, yet I… was left unhealed.
Might as well been the Excalibur, since I will never open up to anyone ever again.
I sat, alone with my thoughts.
I don’t want to be friends anymore,
whispered the barrel.
Then it split up with my mind.

“Why should I touch grass”
When I can touch this magical stone.
It’s full of sins that I cannot atone.
Yet, I still love my phone
Because it makes me happy when I am alone.

I was shot by a bullet train, Her maiden voyage tunneling through my heart. She appeared as quick as dart, Tearing my whole life apart. I had bided my time patient, Sitting on a bench at the station. A girl came and asked me for directions, And my lungs blew out in pain. I hadn’t brought a map, So we both existed there lost. In the station fell some frost, So I tossed- My scarf Around her roaming wharf. I nearly barfed, Her eyes washing upon my freckled shore. We fluttered almost like paper planes. Each initially at fright, Thoughts were shared in a hasty freight, And the conversation took flight. The stars began to float down, And the saplings that were sown, Were no longer alone, As livery colors collided aflame.
I chose to write this instead of studying .w.

“A lunar dream.” She was a celestial body, As her dimples dotted the night. While caressing her crescents, Her skin reflected the lamplight. Warm along her curvatures, Shallow breaths would come and go. And with a firm grasp… gasp! She came and went in a blow! Admiring those silky ribbons, Streaming along her surface, She suddenly slid into slumber. A dark blanket washing over her terrace. With each phase, she lay waiting, Dreaming in a silent drift. With the wet marble’s presence, Her veil was uncovered swift! Tidally locked, Numerous waves arose in froth! Each exerting a gentle sway, Under a gravitational cloth. As dusk lead to dawn, Petals unfurled with a yawn. Swelling with the scent of solar musk, The Sun revealed her perpetual gleam.
I shouldn’t write poetry at night anymore…
