Regardless of whether it’s all talk, when the leader of our country expresses plainly genocidal intent, everyone has to do something.
For citizens of all political stripes, it means rejecting this madness. For Congress, it means taking action to rein him in. Now.

So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Do I have that right?
I have no love lost for the Ayatollah of Iran, but was assassinating this very old man worth

If this is what they do to white American citizens in front of everyone, imagine what happens to non-white people behind closed doors.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.”
—George Orwell, 1984
It is rare for a murder to be captured live on multiple cameras. Yet DHS persists with the obvious lie this was self defense.
There are no more red lines.

Democrats need to understand that they can just say “It’s insane to threaten Greenland” and “I don’t think ICE should murder Americans in the street” and you don’t need to pretend to link it to the affordability crisis.
Say bad things are bad.
Do better Senator. This is no where close to sufficient. A response like this makes you culpable in Ms. Good’s murder.
This past year
ICE arrested and put zip ties on children
Shot *priests* in the head with nonlethal rounds
Raided an entire apartment building (which led to zero arrests)
And today, proved Tim Walz right by shooting and killing a woman-a citizen-in Minneapolis
Republicans
When does it end
ICE murdered Renee Nicole Good in cold blood in a calm neighborhood in Minneapolis. Say her name. F ICE and F this administration. Hold the officer and the organization accountable. We demand it.

Even if Trump’s attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of Maduro somehow led to a positive impact on Venezuela’s future, it would not make these actions by the United States legal, moral or wise.
Normalising and legitimising this behaviour endangers all countries - democracies and dictatorships alike.
It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.
It’s about oil and regime change.
And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.
Go into work on a Saturday to work on grant proposals but end up listening to the Trump press conference and have no idea what to do other than email senators. Where is the separation of powers? Why aren't the press calling this what it is?
I'm apologizing to the future, in advance. Some of us are very sorry. We see what is happening. We're trying, but also not doing very well.
Last night at Brown, students were studying for their last exams, excited to return home to reunite with their family and friends, their lives were forever altered by gun violence. We must do better for each other and not allow our futures to be dictated by the gun industry.
in Bonn, not in Beethoven's birthhaus
There's another castle on that hill too. A more ancient one. Get some gluhwein at the Christmas market. Also suggest seeing Beethoven's house. (Spend 2.5 years there as a postdoc).

The Democratic lawmakers said that members of the military can and must refuse illegal orders by their superiors. n.pr/3XGEu6C
It's admittedly not just conservatives that think the lawsuits are frivolous. Until such time there is real accountability, there needs to be financial damage to companies. These companies are already so rich that it does not go far enough.
A common conservative trope is that lawsuits are money grabs for law firms when in fact, it's the only real way to hold companies accountable. The statement from the one affected resident really struck me where they said essentially, no one goes to jail for these crimes.
