No matter where you fall on the TikTok ban, the President undoing by “executive order” a law passed by Congress and upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court is an unconstitutional abuse of power.

My power’s been out since 2pm in North Hollywood. The wind is terrifying (but it’s not fire 😿). I’ve never been so afraid to go to sleep, tbh. Feels like I could wake up & my Prius will have blown away (or have a tree in the driver’s seat).

If we also have an earthquake (which is what it feels is impending), I think it’ll be over for me and my sweetly placed candles. My remaining sympathy is with all terrorized by the fires. Damn.

Everything is on the ground, including the fence separating my yard from my neighbor’s. Each time the wind roars by, my anxiety ratchets up another notch. Anything could decide it’s time to visit via my living-room window and I wouldn’t see it coming.
