Finland, together with the EU, expresses solidarity with the Iranian people as they voice their aspirations for freedom and dignity. We urge the Iranian authorities to adhere to international obligations and to fully uphold the rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly.

As Finland, we are more than happy to be in NATO, together with our other Nordic friends, contributing to the security of the entire alliance - also in the Arctic.

Self-evidently, it is for Denmark and Greenland to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland.

Over the years, Denmark truly has put some serious skin in the game and its people make great and trustworthy allies.

Not only did Denmark pay a high price for their involvement - with one of the highest per-capita losses of soldiers in Afghanistan - but also back at home: the society was plagued by terror threats linked to the involvement in the US operations.

When I lived in Copenhagen some 20 years ago, I remember Denmark being a fierce ally of the US and in NATO, contributing troops to both Afghanistan and Iraq.
