Infographic summarizing a JAMA study on home-delivered groceries and blood pressure in Black adults. Key findings: DASH grocery delivery resulted in -5.7 mm Hg change, self-directed shopping -2.3 mm Hg. The between-group difference was -3.4 mm Hg.

RCT: Home-delivered, low-sodium Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) groceries and dietitian support temporarily improved blood pressure and LDL cholesterol in Black adults with high BP versus monetary support.

I have a paper that is older than 2 of my children finally under review at a journal.

Uhhh... DASH wasn't associated with reduction in BP in this trial. Sodium reduction was.

This trial in particular. Saw the results presented at AHA Epi a few months ago. This fits a nice gap in evidence on the use of DASH among not only diabetics but also people on antihypertensives.

I'm biased though, Scott Pilla was my cofellow and Larry Appel was my post doc mentor.

I love this study.
