I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

I'm starting to really understand why my grandpa was so surprised at how well I turned out. She wasn't this bad when I was young, I don't think. She's not this bad when my dad isn't around. I wish she could self regulate.

Finally lost my shit over the yelling over a tiny bit of sand in the sink and basically said my relationship with her really fucking important but I cannot handle the yelling and toxic negativity. Eat and chill the fuck out.

We've gotten to 6pm and they're elevated but at least not arguing over anything but the sodoku. I sobbed while holding my brother's ashes last night. It took 37 years for us to share a room without bickering? Peak morbid humor.

Welp turns out that she actually listened to me and wants to learn DBT skills. Here's hoping I can give her a new hyperfocus.

My kiddo went camping and I wanted to make sure they could use the sleeping bag. So they decided to take a nap. The dog approved.

I saw a TikTok about white ladies not being afraid of anything after all of the male firefighters were scared of a snake, and they sent in the woman who had problems. I thought to myself, "but it's just a snake" ...then realized I'm a crazy white lady, who thinks well fed big snakes are cool.

I knew you'd love it! I bought every friend coming to a women's weekend at my house bracelets a couple of weeks ago too! We love you!!

One way I trick my depression is planning something fun each month to look forward to, & then telling myself I have to stay alive for that. Next month is a comedy show, then in June an improv show. I told my therapist it was silly, & she told me it wasn't silly if it worked. #mentalillnessawareness

Pretty sure my 70lb dog believes he's a cat. He tries to play with the cats, he brings them toys (that they don't appreciate) and cuddles like them. Our little 7lb black cat swats his tail as he walks by, and he jumps so high. He just wants love! And treats.

One year I couldn't find the birthday candles, and my kid wanted to blow out a candle so she ushered in a new year by blowing out my Head Bitch in Charge candle from @maliciouswomenco.bsky.social
Much like the candle, no apologies were made. Just memories.

A Lord of the Rings themed party for my roommates birthday was absolutely so much fun to plan and execute. So much fun I managed to get almost no pictures. I bought these posters on Amazon and now they are going to be permanent decorations because I love them!

I took a chocolate making class and ended up making whimsical narwhals. I realized that without pupils the eyes looked really creepy. It was super fun, 10/10 would recommend. My kiddo has loved eating it all.

January marks the anniversary of my brother's death. I hate it now. And it just continued to get worse this year.

Outside of Seattle, we have a ton. They're great at reducing the bunny population and leave ppl alone, but it's awful when they catch something and all bark at 3am.

My old therapist, whenever I told her one of my wild dreams, would say, "wow your brain is processing some big shit this week!" I like to think of it that way -- like it's the medicine for my anxiety, and helping me cope, not causing more.

I just finished The Girl Who Talks To Ashes by Rachel Rener, and absolutely loved it. It's on Kindle unlimited, and it was a quick read, mostly because I read it almost entirely in one sitting. #RachelRener

I absolutely love the Girl Who Talks to Ashes. It would be the coolest TV show too.
