The destination without the journey

… and you also don’t know if the destination is real

Open source projects should leave X. It isn't easy in many cases, but I hope maintainers will push proposals to their teams when the time is right. @e18e.dev and @npmx.dev are only here, and both projects are thriving.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Started using pi.dev after coming across www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dli5... this weekend.
Loving it so far!
It's more autonomous ('yolo') and has plugins like pi-remote that let you control it from your phone.
#data-ux: sorting is better than filtering
Searching "UT" in this dropdown, "Utah" should be the best match
- "UT" is exact match for Utah's state code
- "Utah" starts with "ut"
Most data UI's simply filter results that contain the input text.
They should be *sorting* & filtering
There's no avoiding it —
LLM written code and content *will* be all over the place.
What we need is not to tell *if* something was influenced by an LLM, but better ways to tell if something was thoughtfully created and thoroughly tested.
Here is the Luma page.

Also, I am looking for presenters for future events; please contact me here or at sveltesocietyNYC@gmail.com to submit your Svelte-related talk!
See you next time!
If you want to know why this works or if you're having streaming issues on a network with Apple devices, check out

If you use VisionPro + mac virtual display do this:
Put your router wifi on channel 44.
I optimized everything else but this is what made the display finally stop skipping and lagging
> Auth -- Passkey-first (WebAuthn) …
Love it already!
Who’s coming??
Still just a thought for now but part of the reason I'm in Europe is that I want to travel more by train!
A screenshot of a map on interrail going from Stockholm to Barcelona with stops in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, and France
🚂 Playing with trains …
Or maybe the opposite will happen. 🤷‍♂️
I wonder if our speech patterns will change faster because we’ll get sick of LLMs “how do you do for kids”-ing us
Always fun to see when @svtnyheter.bsky.social - the Swedish Public Broadcast entity uses Svelte in their articles to build interactive stuff!
Here's the population over time in different "counties" using Svelte to build interactive

In an age of LLMs and streaming text, we need to stop trying to get markdown to play ball and restrict the syntax. I specced a stricter markdown sub(er)set several years ago and wondered if it was strict enough to support true streaming.
Turns out penguin flavoured markdown was ahead of its time.
I have a hook that prevents using $effect up-front.
I haven’t confirmed that whatever it uses instead is good, but it has prevented a lot of $effects
Stockholm! The Svelte Society meetup is making a comeback!
Once again we're hosted by Schibsted!

I'm looking for excellent Svelte / SvelteKit contractors in the US with current availability. If that's you, send me a private reply or email me at ben.werdmuller@propublica.org.

The great thing about a good web app is you don’t need a share button.
Just copy the URL.
I assume this is what drove Claude to take legal action instead of finding another compromise like rate limiting. It’s a shame
TIL that Claude cli had a “remote” option that makes the session accessible on web or their mobile app. Neat!
I made a little daemon to serve my main projects.
So far, I’d rather stick with opencode and another LLM provider
I think I’ll try synthetic
Feel free to share or dm your referral code, I’ll use it
Simpler is better for humans and machines
Automation magnifies efficiency
But it also magnifies inefficiency
Nano Stores seems to be my fastest-growing open source project right now.
10x growth over the past year!
