On this day in 1976 principle photography on "Star Wars" began at Elstree Studios. While first scenes were shot in Tunisia in March, production at Elstree began in April with the filming of scenes like the cantina. Here's my photo of the Lucas Stage at Elstree (from outside the fence). MTFBWY!
