LANGUAGE STUDY - PARTICIPANTS NEEDED: BLACK LGBT+ ENGLISH SPEAKERS We’re looking for Black LGBT+ individuals to participate in a study on LGBT+ slang usage. Much of LGBT+ slang originates in and is taken from ballroom, vogue, and other queer, Black communities, and we would not do justice to their origins and usages without the input of members of these communities. What: A 30-60 minute interview asking about your membership in / relationship with the LGBT+ community and subcultures within that community, as well as asking about the usage/origins of selected LGBT+ slang terms. Eligibility: US residents over the age of 18 who identify as LGBT+ and as Black / African American.
