He was funny and very dry in person, amusingly cynical when needed and always kept his satire spiky. I’ve known him and worked with him for 18 years and like many I can’t believe he has gone, he will leave a big hole in the comedy world and in our hearts. Love to his family and friends x

Very well put. We’re all devastated at this news. He was such a talent and a brilliant character and mentor. He cared about such a wide range of issues and subjects. Huge loss, very cruelly taken. His influence remains.
