Thanks to the Mag for publishing my article and allowing me somehow to put all my #nufc thoughts in one place.

After trying to get my head around the past few weeks in the world of Newcastle United, I've put my thoughts down. Let me know if you agree/disagree! #nufc

It's fantastic that we are in the semi final. Usually absolutely bouncing and I know we got the result, just so much missing from our game at the minute. I know it doesn't make sense but the way we are playing doesn't make me confident of getting results against other sides. A win is a win though.

Just got back from the game and yes Fulham are a decent side but I expected a few gambles tonight. We aren't allowed to shoot from outside of the box. We seem to be even more risk averse. Bizarrely we took more punts when we had a few mins left in the game! #nufc

I can understand the lack of training time in between games to cope with the intensity but it's probably the deepest squad in terms of quality in my time supporting the club tbh.

What has happened to the Newcastle United who played a high tempo pressing game where players would overlap and make lung busting runs?

Yesterday was not the first time we haven't turned up this season. Some individuals need to take a good look at themselves.

European away, mackems away or a cup final would probably be my idea of a decent away game, but you are correct in the idea that unless loyalty points are already gained then it's nigh on impossible for any now!

It looks as if I may never be able to attend a decent away game ever again! 34 years as a ST holder and 64 loyalty points doesn't count for anything anymore. What's changed though? I managed a ticket to the last Sunderland away game and I've been to Dortmund and Kharkiv? Is it more corporates? #nufc

I haven't managed a ticket for Leverkusen, but my brother has managed one. However he paid ยฃ40, is this right? I'm sure the German clubs kept prices down? We paid about 16 euro for Dortmund. #nufc

Great result tonight. Atmosphere was awful in the North East corner with people seemingly ticking the box that they've been to the game followed by plenty of people leaving for their "buses" with around ten mins to go. The 12th man is slowly being eroded #nufc

With the departure of Peter Silverstone, I hope the club now recruit someone who has a better concept of understanding the fanbase. Yes we need commercial revenue but not at the expense of loyalty and ultimately the beating heart of the club...it's supporters. #nufc

We can't have too many performances like that. With the way that media narrates managerial landscape, we need to see a much improved collective effort over next few weeks. Some players today need to look at themselves in terms of effort levels. First time I've said that in a fair few years. #nufc

You watch Bournemouth and that's how we used to play. Something isn't right at the minute. Fitness levels and amount of pressing is not looking good at the minute. #nufc

We looked half paced, tired, no pressing. Takes an age to take the ball up the pitch. Full backs have had a shocker, Bruno has had a shocker. Some really odd changes made. I hope we can scrape something out of this.

So by the looks of it, that smaller club have lost less games than Arne Slot's Liverpool so far this season? #nufc

The narrative that Steve Bruce put himself forward as a sacrificial lamb for the new regime and then recommended Eddie to take over. Well you have to question only one thing. Those drugs. Right medication? #nufc

Special night. From my first game in 1991 against Oldham to the dizzy heights of a 3-0 win against Benfica. Wow. #nufc

No I completely agree, a different football world altogether as well. The point I was trying to make was that no one in any industry can be expected to change things as a manager in 30 days. Patience doesn't exist any more.

Using the same logic applied to Postecoglu, Brian Clough would have been fired. Clough won only three out of his first seventeen at Forest. In any profession, who can make an impact after 30 odd days? Bizarre. #nffc #forest #clough #football
