When pressed, they’ll usually expand the definition of AI to include spellcheck, something that’s existed for decades and can be run locally on old hardware.

Yes, there’s some machine learning with spellcheck, but it’s not close to generative AI, which is what people mean when they say AI.

My mom was dealing with dry and cracked hands, so I improvised a moisturizing hand cream while visiting. All cheap ingredients

40 grams lard
10 grams castor oil
10 grams coconut oil

Melt over a double boiler, whisk, add essential oils 2:1 ratio of citrus and floral, 4 drops lemon 2 lavender. Cool.

If you want to avoid animal products, look for soaps with shea butter as their top ingredient, that’s usually very moisturizing and good for itchy skin. And make sure there’s glycerin in the ingredients.

If you’re fine with animal products, tallow and lard based soaps are amazing.

That’s probably why people are saying it dries out the skin. It’s also likely they remove the glycerin, which is extremely moisturizing and a natural byproduct of soap making, but it reduces the shelf life and glycerin is more valuable outside of soap.

I started making my own soap, so I have some knowledge.

It looks like its top ingredient is coconut oil, which is normally moisturizing but when saponified, not so much. It does tend to be extremely good at removing dirt though.

I never correct people’s typos because it’s always obvious what they meant, and spelling and grammar is ultimately about facilitating clear communication, corrections are not necessary if communication is already clear.
