Virgin Active: Stop following transphobes, follow the law After a legal threat from GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry, Virgin Active turned their back on the trans community and enforced a changing room and bathroom ban on trans people across all their gym...

I've just used Good Law Project's tool to let Virgin Active know they're following transphobes, not the law. You can do it too here: goodlaw.social/638d25

Loved this. After Godless and Queen’s Gambit, Scott Frank is doing some great stuff on Netflix . Seeing as he wrote Logan and adapted Get Shorty and Out of Sight that’s no real surprise.

Nine episodes into Season 4 of The Bear and I continue to be blown away by it. The writing, direction, cinematography, editing, casting including cameos, performances, music choices. It’s all just so perfect and put together it’s even more than the sum of its parts. This is what TV was made for,

Knowing who the manager would be would help.

What I really meant was why aren’t people turning United down, as they didn’t make it to the champions league.

If that isn’t high priority these days and it’s just about money, then we are unlikely to really improve our squad.

I wasn’t suggesting Spurs buy those players specifically. And yes of course they would need to bid on them. As a Spurs fan I was just pondering why good players see fit to not have champions league football in their list of requirements from a club.

Cunha, Mbeumo & Gyokeres all happy to join Man United, who don’t have European football. So much for Spurs winning the Europa League and having Champions League leverage for signings. Either the United big club thing works or it’s just about wages? #COYS

Watching modern football makes me think if I was playing now I’d be sent off in the first 5 mins!

Certainly feels like 16th v 17th in the Premier League, rather than two top teams in Europe. #COYS

Have a horrible feeling Eriksen might come off the bench and do for us. #COYS

Looking highly likely. If they hadn’t carried over points from the heats he’d be even further ahead. Wonder how his Flintstone Press and stones are compared to the others?

Can’t quite believe how bad this was compared to Paddington 2. None of the magic at all, just the slapstick and adventure parts without any of the character work. Can’t quite believe they could get it so wrong.

Saw Freaky Tales last night. Lots to unpack and I still can’t work out if I liked it or not. A fun ride for sure. I’m enjoying the soundtrack today.

Lovely Sunday in Bristol attending Bristol Independent Film Fest. Little Brown Bird was really well received and the Q&A went well. Another trophy to send to Eliza. The film looked and sounded amazing on the IMAX screen.

Enjoying the Daredevil: Born Again series so far. The cinematography makes every shot feel like a comic panel. But in a very different way to early Marvel movies tried to.
