I’m the same way, I’m about halfway in and the running around every month gets old really quick. Majority of my time is spent talking to everyone and in menus than actually fighting.

I’d definitely give Engage a shot then though. Has a similar hub, but they scaled it back significantly.

100%, I feel the same exact way.

I actually enjoyed a lot of Engage’s characters, I just wanted them a little more fleshed out like in Three Houses

At the end of the day they’re both great games and do what they set out to focus on extremely well. It all comes down to our favorite thing..

FE has always been about the gameplay for me. Battles/mechanics/maps and I still think Engage destroys 3 Houses in that area.

But 3 Houses clearly dominates in narrative/character development. Unit customization is insane and so fun to dive into, but can easily become the focus of the experience.

So I’m in the middle of my first replay of Three Houses and I’m a little surprised to find that I still prefer Engage.

But it honestly feels like comparing apples and oranges. They both have such different vibes and it seems so clear they intentionally chose to focus on different aspects.

Agreeeed, so simple to add too. I guess they really wanted to emphasize the “exploration” of it all, but that just ends up giving me more anxiety than it’s worth

EXACTLY! That’s all I wanted too, just something to tell me how many of each thing was in each area.

I tried looking up a guide but I couldn’t find anything that has everything broken down by area, so we’ll probably hold off on it until I someone comes up with that lol
