I was young’ish & fit, but not very well trained. Ran the first half too quick (1hr 40m) & hit the wall at about 17 miles. The last 9 miles were terrible, finished in 4h10m, missing my sub-4 goal. It was also a wet & cold day & yes the DOMS were terrible for a week 😂

I hated the experience so much I didn’t go running again for 15 years 😂 - road running not my thing, trails much more my style
