Not actually sure about performance, but I'd do something like { tag: "blah", value: { ... }} so that the shape of the outer value is the same, and I imagine the value object is boxed probably?

Hello
I am on the quite the "being a real person" journey recently.
Regularly scheduled projects will resume shortly.
Hey that's me!
Actually disgusting behavior
What's your sign?
Going in my inspiration folder!
One more thing I've been working on: guessr47.com
A geoguessr party game based on hitman world of assassination!
We played it for the first time over at twitch.tv/rewkers and it went great!
Most developers and development managers are VERY bad at, or don't care to attempt, imagining themselves being the end user.
That's pretty much the issue.
One of the things I've been working on is the bluesky bot for
@hcw-official.bsky.social
Certainly not for everyone, but if you're into raunchy indie wrestling, check it out, it's live now!
This one kinda slaps
FUCK IT
BALL!
Could also be that for most of the time I've been programming, I've either made things for me or for everyone, but now I'm focusing on building things for the smaller communities I'm in, which is very fulfilling, but much harder to share here since there's a lot of context that comes with that.
I think it's because my projects usually have a cohesive theme, but these 4 projects are about as different as possible while still basically being the same tech.
I'm in a weird spot where I have 4 huge sideprojects in the works, but I don't feel like they're ready to share, or if I'm going to share them under Foldster's Projects at all.
This was supposed to the the year of "fuck it, we ball"
hmm
Many such cases
The main aspect for me is that the PDS is much more than just "a database for your bluesky posts." It truly is a server first, and you can kind of have it do anything as long as it just so happens to implement the contract that the appviews you use expect.
Lol just read the original thread and you said exactly this but better.
Yeah, better to highlight "what does ownership allow me to do that I couldn't otherwise."
For many people, ownership is a burden. The whole "you don't want to own a boat, you want a best friend that does."
Working on something cool, hope to release it in the next month!
ooo
A Kogi translation service from English to "LinkedIn Speak". The English text reads "Have you ever had a dream that, that you, um, you had, your, you— you could, you'll do, you— you wants, you, you could do so, you— you'll do, you could- you, you want, you want them to do you so much you could do anything?" and the translated Linkedin Speak reads "Ever had a vision so disruptive that you—you, uh, you possessed the, your, you—you could, you'll execute, you—you desire, you, you could scale so, you—you'll deliver, you could—you, you want, you want the stakeholders to align with you so much you could achieve anything? 🚀 #VisionaryMindset #Disruption #Leadership #GrowthHacking"
I'm dying 🤣
Who are you and how did you get my bluesky bot
You become a true software engineer when you realize that coding is the most overrated part of software.
Huge!
What does "Principal (Jr.)" Engineer even mean?
That's like saying "Expert (novice)"
Or does McKinsey have a COD-style prestige system?
