A popular path along Mulkey Creek in Corvallis recently became flooded after beavers built a dam in the area. That prompted several groups to look for a solution that would allow the beavers to remain busy in the area but keep the path open for public use.

Last year, researchers documented the first adult Chinook salmon in a tributary of the Upper Klamath since dam removal. This spring, they've discovered newly hatched salmon, lifting hopes of a cultural renewal for Klamath Tribes members.
