I wasn't paying attention and got a pattern from someone who uses AI (to be clear it's in their promo pictures and not their patterns, but...). It was a free pattern, so at least there's that. But I really liked their stuff and now I'm just frustrated and don't want to share my work.

Kate is correct. Sometimes for cross stitch people will draw or stitch grids onto the fabric to better help with the counting problem. But maybe you wouldn't fuck it up. Maybe start small if you're interested in trying.
I very much encourage flying too close to the sun. Even if you don't make it you'll learn a lot of useful skills.
I just want to take some of these images and make them into usable patterns. But, you know, what would be the point?

I haven't posted my opinion on AI in a hot minute, but I got followed by an account using AI slop. If you use AI at all for any reason you are a chump and you are actively causing your brain to atrophy. I hope you enjoy not being able to figure out how your own kitchen is arranged without a chatbot.

I've been stitching for like 6 years straight now and this'll be my first cone. So, you're probably fine for a while, lol.
It's DMC 310 (black) 6 strand embroidery thread that weighs in at 100 grams and about 450 yards. And it is shaped like -the cone-. It's good to have if you've been in deep on embroidery because everyone runs through black so fast and a regular skein is only like 8.7 yards.
I'll have to see if Starlight will restock before I run out. It looks like they have -the cone-.
Unfortunately I don't think I can justify the price of the gigantic cone yet 😅 but I'll take a look at the shop, thank you!
