Justices Reject Colorado Law Banning ‘Conversion Therapy’ for L.G.B.T.Q. Minors

What a shame! Therapy is NOT speech. The only dissenting voice, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, wrote in her summary, "The Constitution does not pose a barrier to reasonable regulation of harmful medical treatments just because substandard care comes via speech instead of scalpel."

We are not seeing mass protests because universities and colleges criminalized dissent — not just disciplining students on specious grounds but sending police (sometimes more in # than protestors) and supporting prosecutions. Ppl are terrified.

Today marks 14 years since 17-year-old, unarmed Trayvon Martin was shot and killed while walking home.

A moment worth recording: my first time getting 11/11 on the @nytimes.com news quiz. The sports questions usually get me, but since this time, they were all Olympics-related, I managed to get them all right! I guess I'm that competitive 😅 🏆 #newsolympics

I appreciate how @lsiraganian.bsky.social is seriously engaging claims about "viewpoint diversity" and "intellectual pluralism" and how they're weaponized by the Trump administration and other actors to launch attacks against Higher Ed. A Well-researched, compelling, and important read. #academicsky
