Amanda is severely immunosuppressed. Vaccines donβt protect her.
The antibodies that could? - Never funded
So while the world βmoved on,β sheβs still living in isolation.
This is what βLiving with Covidβ still means in 2026.

People certainly did access them, but having helped many people who definitely qualified we can attest to the fact that the process was - and remains - broken.
All too often we had to turn to MPs for emergency interventions.
Unfortunately, this remains far from a priority.
Yes, we point to the issue that even those who clearly qualify can't always access them through Sarah's statement. Plus, we raise concerns about eligibility generally.
We had antivirals, we didn't have synthetic antibodies (prophylactic treatments) - equivalent to vaccines for those who cannot respond effectively.
Six years of being ignored.

a desperately important thread of many varying ways the vulnerable are affected and STILL sidelined ignored and cast out from society
We are varied
We are complex
We are from all backgrounds
We are a minority who are ignored and forgotten!

6 long years and @teamlabouruk.bsky.social we need urgent change. Not one word from Wes Streeting.

LIVING ON PLAGUE ISLAND A personal evidence based perspective on living in the UK with a clinically vulnerable household member during a period when we are meant to be 'living with the virus'. 7th Apr 2026 Covid Inquiry Report On Healthcare Systems - Module Three ! Key findings Preventing the spread of Covid-19 in healthcare settings was paramount to protect patients and healthcare workers. Initial guidance on preventing the spread of infection was flawed. It assumed the virus was spread by contact transmission, failing properly to consider the extent to which it was also spread by airborne transmission. In future, guidance should assume that all plausible routes of transmission are possible until sufficient evidence proves otherwise.
The UK Covid Inquiry (Module 3) confirms what we lived through - an overstretched system, unsafe care, and lives put at risk. Our voices were ignored!
We need accountability, reform, and protection for those most at risk - before the next crisis hits...

This is an incredible story about a patient who was given a donor skin graft as a visual monitor to catch early rejection signs, protecting their transplant before it was too late.

"9.6 million UK workers are to benefit from the changes to sick pay rules."
They will be paid from day 1, and no longer need to earn over Β£125 a day.
This will disproportionately benefit Clinically Vulnerable workers managing chronic health.

The voices of Clinically Vulnerable people need to be in the room. We cannot afford to wait any longer.
