My first game after coming back to Classic had my Wolverine explode when it’s ammo got clipped. It felt like coming home :P
It also gets points for being Justin Allard’s mech in his first appearance.
That said, a mobile LRM that costs peanuts can be a really annoying addition to fill out a force, and I’ve used Valks before to good effect.

You're mostly right, but the heel turn was the ex Davion going all in with supporting House Liao, who have vaguely Chinese stylings. Trying to curry favour with them while sporting a rising sun is certainly a choice.
