A New Jersey data center will reportedly receive $77 million in tax breaks — while only creating one permanent job.
One job, in exchange for higher utility bills, noise pollution, and potential groundwater pollution.
Is it any wonder communities are organizing to stop data centers?

Making a pledge and then breaking it is not merely 'changing your mind'. The latter is fine, while the former reveals a character flaw: you're untrustworthy. Still, breaking a pledge need not be a lie if the pledge was at least sincerely made at the time. But I think it pretty clear it was not.
