The pilot lies prone to drop bomblets by hand . . . sometimes instead raining wilted rose petals as a message of defiance and rage.
Due to the craft’s small radar signature, detection by well-armed adversaries is avoided, especially at night.
The flight pattern threads through tight canyons and re-entrants for concealment, then climbs the mountainside to return home, sometimes dragging hands and boots.
ENCOUNTER THREE: PATCHWORK PARAMOTOR
Resupply flier, aerial scout, assassin, weapons trader, and aid dropper.
Launching from a mountaintop settlement, the pilot uses the prop motor to achieve altitude, then soars down from the summit, motor switched off for stealth.

Unfortunately, the fusion engine is buried and entangled within thick, ancient roots.
It’s mysterious how this cactus could exist, as BH-III is mother to no native succulents.

Judging by the damage, the hull was strafed by aerial weapons during a long range patrol.
ENCOUNTER FOUR: SCRAP HULL CACTUS
An altar of hope. A queen of the night.
The dignified elder succulent stretches into the moonless sky, providing shelter and food for small scavengers.

The Shadow Hawk could leap using jump jets in a crisis; though it’s likely the landing would be devastating.
The guidance systems for the missile launchers are shot, so the entire missilette stockpile was stripped for its homing hardware and repacked with increased explosive charge.
Heavy smoke-dispersal warheads in the head-mounted launcher can conceal a (slow) withdraw, if needed.
Settlement technicians lack the resources to fully restore the Hawk’s gyrostabilizer, so the mecha is only able crawl using all its limbs to deploy ‘hull-down’ in ambush maneuvers, until expert help can be recruited.
Badlands Encounter 3: Area Denial Shadow Hawk
A mecha hauled out of its derelict repose by those who found the fangs within their hearts.
My thought was that the custom helmet wasn’t compatible with the spinal safety systems and the pilots neck was broken , at least to the point that they became paralyzed
But on the other hand this is more of a style over substance piece
lol, checks out. Must’ve been a phoenix hawk pilot
