It is my sincere wish that Péter Magyar and Volodymyr Zelensky meet as soon as possible.

A hard reset — a clearing of air — is needed between Hungary and Ukraine, after years of contentious relations.

May these two neighbors break bread and return to a path of amity and reason. 🕊️

It’s the 328th anniversary of Peter the Great leaving England for Holland to continue his Grand Embassy (a diplomatic mission to find out how to modernise Russia), at which point everyone breathed a sigh of relief, not least John Evelyn, whose house Peter and his entourage had completely trashed 🧵

Epitomizing the Trump race to the bottom. Appointing the very worst he can find. See RFK, Jr., the roadkill secretary. Trump’s unique collection of weasels, pigs, and troglodytes is unmatched in our historical record.

💙 Uch, my heart. The beauty of healed breaks!

Still discovering!

*Given its strategic location near the mouth of the Nile, the bustling city of Pelusium was used as a fortress in pharaonic times & later as a [Roman] customs station…

It likely once held a colossal statue of the god Pelusius…from the ancient Greek word for "mud" or "silt."*

This came out when the Thomas stuff did.
Yet only now its being promoted.
You have to wonder why? Pressure by Trump Admin to get him to resign and get even a bigger corrupt tool in that seat?

Excellent @patsybaloney.bsky.social! The uneasiness one feels about “the billionaire class” is so well articulated here. This article really puts its finger on it: “And although today’s billionaires are clearly manipulating society to maximize their own profit, something else is also happening

"Money is an issue"
Hear that @kenmartin.bsky.social ?

Same as I said in WV state and Fed elections. No presence of Democratic candidates in media, yard signs, on the streets.
Until the Democratic Party is rebuilt in a majority of the country, each election will be an anxiety filled push.

She's leaving Congress to, uh, spend more time with her family, her ambassadorial dreams are ashes, her career is over, and maybe it's okay to stop asking her stuff

Syrian Billionaires Needed a Favor in Washington. They Invoked the Trump Name.

Sure, sure...

"President Trump performs his constitutional duties in an ethically sound manner and to suggest otherwise is either ill-informed or malicious,” David Warrington, the White House counsel, said in a statement."

If you watch and share one thing today make at this. Why is every democrat in the country not talking like this?

So, I was in DC yesterday and we went by the White House which is nearly impossible to see. The have moved the perimeter fences to the northern side of Lafayette park. The appearance of the park was so disturbing to me and I think we should ask what they are doing and plan to do to the park?

⭐️ A very good read:
“For many, the CIC [Catholic Information Center] is the embodiment of Opus Dei’s political power: a bricks and mortar metaphor…
it wasn’t until I’d learnt more about Opus Dei that I could actually make sense of the influence the CIC is having on American political culture.“

More teen births practically guarantee a generation of underparented children & potentially troubled adults.

“There used to be a consensus…that it was best to wait for adulthood to have kids. But…Republicans are now drifting toward open complaints that teenage girls aren’t having enough babies” 1/3

Pope James David Vance the First The vice president has decided he’s a more accomplished theologian than Leo XIV.

Gift 🎁—Read this: Vance as Pope’s overseer

“Vance’s slap at Leo… illustrates the risks that Vance is willing to take not only with the Vatican, but with a country whose population is one-fifth Catholic, in order to demonstrate his utter fealty to Trump.”
