Everything I couldn't fit into a caption lives on Medium.
The longer thoughts. The ones that needed more room. The pieces where I can breathe.

Wednesday is my Monday. The second coming.
Tuesday was Tuesdays with Traie β off, mine, sacred.
Two Mondays. One week. That's my schedule.
Wednesday doesn't scare me. It's just another start. π€

Kabbalah teaches humans have a sixth sense β not a metaphor. A receiver for worlds layered over this one.
It opens through tzimtzum: intentional restriction of ego and reactivity.
Every time you get quiet enough β it flickers on.
The world you think you're in is a fraction of what exists. π
Garfield has hated Mondays since 1978 and has never once apologized for it.
48 years. Still showing up. Still eating lasagna. Still complaining.
Honestly the most relatable energy I've ever seen.
You don't have to love Mondays. You just have to outlast them. π±π
How's yours going?
Seeking ways to tackle homelessness effectively with minimal effort and resources.
Embrace hardships to amplify life's pleasures. Resilience turns challenges into joy. Let struggles expand your capacity for satisfaction. Hard times enhance success and enrich your understanding of pleasure. Use adversity to broaden your horizons. #Resilience #EmbraceStruggles
You don't stop drowning the moment your head breaks the surface; you stop drowning when you can stand upright.
Stop performing your milestones.
You don't have to clean up the blood to make the miracle more palatable.
Take the rest.
Sit in the quiet.
Recognize the TRUTH in the container you built.
I didn't need a cake yesterday.
I needed the undeniable reality of my own breath.
The mess is the message.
And the message today is simply that I AM STILL BREATHING.
We are taught to treat birthdays as loud milestones of achievement.
But for those of us who rebuilt our identity from the floor up, a birthday is different.
It is an act of DEFIANCE.
I am sitting with the quiet today.
HONORING the trials that preceded me.
The heavy pharmacy bills.
The shelter lobbies.
The fracture lines where my survival became scripture.
Today is for REST.
Not the kind you earn after a long week.
The kind you claim after years of survival.
When you spend years without a stable roof, your nervous system forgets how to power down.

April 3rd came and went.
I didn't celebrate.
I didn't need to.
I just needed to acknowledge that I'm still here after everything that tried to make sure I wasn't.
That's not a party.
That's a prayer.

Good morning!
I've been up for a solid 48 hours straight.

For some reason I am not able to connect my Bsky to my Post Claw app.
Every coffee bought on my page goes toward the same thing:
More time to write.
More space to think.
More room to be honest.
I'm grateful for everyone who chooses to support this way.
If you'd like to:

It genuinely means something.
Most people want to hear about where you ended up.
My newsletter is about the middle part.
The part where you don't know yet. The part where you're still asking.
I think that's where the real writing lives.
And where the real readers find me.
Link in bio β subscribe if you're in the middle.
The people who buy me a coffee aren't just supporters.
They're investors in a different kind of story.
Not the rags-to-riches arc. The rags-to-real one.
Where survival becomes something you can hand to someone else.
If you want to be part of that:

The longer I survive, the more I believe shelter is a human right.
Coming from someone who spent nearly five years without a roof - who once believed the system just needed a little fixing, that hard work was the answer.
The streets have a way of showing you what's actually true.
Writing from the wound doesn't mean wallowing.
It means being honest enough to say: this happened, this is what it cost, and here's what I found on the other side.
That's the voice in this newsletter.
Not healed. Not broken. In between.
If you're in between too β link in bio.
The newsletter is for people who are no longer who they used to be β and haven't quite figured out who they're becoming.
That liminal space. That threshold.
I live there. I write from there.
You don't have to have it figured out to subscribe.
That's kind of the point.

I don't have a Patreon. I don't run ads. I don't pitch courses.
I have a BuyMeACoffee page because someone asked how to support the work β and I wanted the answer to be simple.
You can find it at buymeacoffee.com/adontaimason
No pressure. Just an option for the ones who want to show up that way.
Tampa raised me. The streets shaped me. Ancient texts saved me.
Now I write a newsletter that tries to hold all three.
The Florida heat. The spiritual depth. The grit of someone who refused to disappear.
That's the flavor you get every week.

I work in customer service. I've been doing it while unhoused, while healing, while becoming.
And I write a newsletter about all of it.
Because the person on the other side of the phone is going through something too. We all are.
Stories that hold that truth.

This week's newsletter is about the moment you realize survival mode has become a habit β and how to notice when you're safe enough to finally exhale.
Some of us never got that memo.
I'm writing it.
Subscribe and it'll land in your inbox.

Your support on BuyMeACoffee keeps this work independent.
No corporate sponsors. No algorithm-chasing. No watering down the truth.
Just me writing for people who need writing that doesn't sugarcoat what it costs to change.
If that work means something to you:

Every week I sit down and write something I couldn't say anywhere else.
Not a thread. Not a hot take. A letter.
For the people who showed up and kept showing up even when they didn't know why.
If that sounds like you β the newsletter is yours.
