Not a bakfiets, no... but I can get a longtail with a 1000W motor, fat tires, racks and fenders
R&M are making bikes to play in the same market as Aventon, which is "people who buy what their local retail bike shop has on hand" Respectfully that's not going to cut it vs. Super73 and aliexpress

the Atlantic should demand an emergency order to collect blood and piss samples from Ka$h, today, to preserve evidence that the article is factually true
Yeahhhhhhhhh
And that's the same demographic who will post endlessly about this
For most Americans, a person riding a bike signals abject poverty, or a third DUI conviction
You are right of course. But that just shows the extent of the mismatch. ebikes do not signal luxury / wealth to the American audience strongly enough to allow an unfamiliar brand to set a 6k price point for a product that I can buy a substitute for on Amazon for three hundred dollars
Aren't their bikes like $15,000?
C'mon
"I will make An Example out of them"
Let's go Blood Clot <CLAP CLAP CLAPCLAPCLAP>
I ride a dutch-style cargo bike with a goofy wooden box on the front and I keep a large aluminum baseball bat in the box, where I can easily reach it without taking my left hand off the handlebars
Low-profile crosswalks don't slow cars. They are a professional cop-out. Design should direct driver behavior, not depend on goodwill. This entire approach prioritizes vehicular flow over human life, but looks good in photos.
The engineers knew exactly what they were doing with this incompetence...
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
Haha bravo
"A flex post and a prayer"
It's not enough. Demand more from your city because the stakes are too high.
That shit looks really impractical. There are many many proven designs with millions of miles on them. People need to stop fixing stuff that ain't broken
- Cargo is typically more about available spaces and points to strap stuff on than the volume of cargo space. If you can use straps (recommend Rokstraps and Magma straps) then you can go upwards, or have stuff atop the bike, rather than only relying on the containment space
Only 2?
A person smiling and waving while trying an Urban Arrow with her child
Cargo bikes spread out on the grass at the park
A person test-riding a long tail cargo bike with their child
Four kids having a ride in a Madsen cargo bike
Today's cargo bike test ride is party was my favourite kind of event. So many big smiles and happy people riding bikes. I heard from people who left the event much closer to getting a cargo bike, and people who felt less weird or alone in their choice to bike with kids.
A person trying an Urban Arrow cargo bike with many other people and cargo bikes in the background
I have more to say about our cargo bike test ride event but one thing for sure is that a bike/e-bike/cargo bike subsidy program here would be VERY popular
The same is true of street signs in residential neighborhoods: every "school crossing" sign is a witness mark for negligence in the city planning department
Keep an eye out for cool e-moto setups (I'm convinced this is the future for urban mobility)

Prison is too good, they should all get the Cromwell treatment
Its 2026 now, time for some VAR challenges on those calls
I'm sure the fact that her husband is the chief justice has no impact on "commissions" that she "earns" for placing candidates
Just calling balls and strikes! Like CB Bucknor
You don't have to become the Netherlands in order to enable more people to leave the car at home. Multi-use paths with some basic separation from roadways is enough to get people rolling. It's something that most cities and suburbs can do now with minimal investment and space.
More should be as direct as he is:
1) Trump is a fascist
2) Netanyahu should be arrested
Mamdani is very clear about those 2 statements
Here's a fun thread
If there are any Democrats who are thinking of running for the presidency on 2028 on anything less than a clear agenda of widespread prosecution for this administration's corruption and fundamental structural changes to ensure it can't happen again, they should just stop right there.
