Okay, this isn't a live-service game.

It's a small, $15 regular 5v5 multiplayer game. The only DLC is a $5 'supporter pack' that gives every character one more skin and the soundtrack.

It's exactly what people have been demanding because they HATE live-service games. And then gets punished as one!

I get the frustration since it was part of the kickstarter goal but that's how game development goes. Stuff can be scrapped in result of internal development issues and getting a sequel instead was probably the better choice anyway.

Like people weaponizing the mod against GT for not finishing Torque and Spade, like do people even realize that getting a sequel was the better option than a dlc?

And also this mod wouldn't even exist without GT prior work so I really do not like how people been using it to attack them.

So someone made a video on FP+ but most of the complains was the lack of music and sounds even though this was his mistake as he didn't follow the guide correctly.
We pointed it out and asked him to redo the video but all that led was him getting upset and calling me rude. What is it with FP fans?

Not sure how I should feel with some people complaining that FP+ is a mod. We did put a lot of work into it so it kinda makes me sad seeing this.

Spark The Electric Jester: Recharged by Farkle A fanmade mod patch that fixes bugs and adds new content.

The creator of Freedom Planet Plus also did a fan-patch/expansion for Kirby Meets Sonic-like Spark The Electric Jester. Given that Spark had a bunch of long-standing bugs (especially regarding frame timing), I highly recommend it.

Both Freedom Planet games and the Spark Trilogy are all good stuff.

Speaking of community mods, was just informed that Freedom Planet Plus dropped today as well

Mostly a fan-patch but makes the two beta/unfinished extra characters fully playable. It is a mod, so you'll need the original game on Steam. Which you should own, as it's like if Treasure made a Sonic game

FP+ is getting a few more patches before we are going to resume work on Float's Story.

Float's Story is still being worked on. Recently we made the decision of separating it out of Recharged so that we can expand some of the gameplay elements, ui and levels further. I'm still planning to support Recharged whenever I can.

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.
