Burning Rival is a 2D footsie-centric Fighting-Game, notable for being AM2's first foray into the genre!
As a first effort, it is a rather basic and straight-forward SF2-like, but it's set apart by it's phenomenal visuals, with hand-drawn traditionally animated sprites by Zero-One Studio!
I just realized that thanks to the Dana guest, the whole cast of Schwarzerblitz, Exploding Judo Federation and Duels of Fortune has a Ryu number now.
And due to the crossover with DoF, HYPERFIGHT too.
Shoto Goto has a Ryu Number of 6.

Finished this commission for @balina.bsky.social's FFXIV character! Simplifying characters from this game is always a challenge, but it's satisfying when I can pull it off.
There's just something really fun about playing a fighting game that just lets you follow the opponent extremely high into the sky.
