What is Amare? 'Amare' is an inclusive genre tag for relationship focused visual novels and interactive fiction games, spanning multiple genres including Otome, BL, WLW, and blends of these themes. While Amare games share a distinct "vibe," they place no restrictions on the gender of the Main Character or Love Interests. Amare embraces diverse romantic narratives, and games may include Main Characters with an established gender or gender-variable Main Characters.

Do I have to use the hashtag to be included?
Not at all! It’s just an optional way to help us spot announcements more easily without adding extra work for developers.

Am I guaranteed to be included?
Not automatically. We still reserve the right to decide what’s featured.
In particular, we do not promote games that use any form of Generative AI, games with too little information to understand their content, or other disqualifiers

Why a hashtag?
Devs already do a ton of work just to make announcements. Adding extra steps—like submission forms—only adds to that load. This hashtag is meant to reduce work, not create more.

Where do I use it?
It doesn’t have to be in the main post! You can simply add #AmareGamesBulletin in a comment, so you don’t have to sacrifice characters or formatting.
