Reform fury as someone else wins
by Our By-election Editor
Tim Shipsink
The losing candidate in the Gorton and Denton by-election, Matt Goodwhinge, has demanded an immediate re-run of the election on the grounds that he lost
comprehensively to someone else.
"It's totally unfair and rigged,"
said Goodwhinge.
"I shouldn't
be required to sit there and suck it up, just because I lost."
Mr Goodwhine continued, *I can't believe that all those voters I demonised failed to back me.
Especially after I was endorsed by Tommy Robinson and ten million Russian bots on X.
"We have clear evidence of family voting, where people voted in order for me to stop deporting their families."
Mr Badloser concluded. "I'm the victim of colour prejudice.
They didn't vote for me simply because I'm not green."
Reform leader
Mr Farage,
speaking from a sun lounger on a rock near the Chagos Islands said,
"It's a tragedy that the people of Manchester won't see Matt in Westminster, but my constituents don't see me in Clacton either."

Beautiful from Private Eye on the massive toddler-tantrum that Matt Goodwin and Reform are having, because they got whooped in Gorton and Denton.

Can we extract the Reform nonsense from Labour? These immigration proposals are obscene, but the government can be forced to think again.

The government's immigration proposals are an obscenity: They needlessly punish refugees, make integration basically impossible, and introduce a sliding system of administrative abuse depending on how wealthy you are iandunt.substack.com/p/can-we-ext...

Greens win Gorton & Denton By-election! Change Minds → Change Politics

This is a truly horrifying account of increasingly likely collapse of essential natural systems which would bring mass food shortages, price rises & global disorder. Commissioned from UK intelligence chiefs but scandalously suppressed by Govt, & sneaked out now while attention is elsewhere 👇

John Major, "Our links to Europe and America may be loser now than once they were and that is a loss"

"The loss of trade with Europe alone costs us ÂŁ100 billion of lost trade every year"

"That's a tax yield of ÂŁ40 billion"

"How useful would that have been in recent months to the Chancellor?"

How capitalism drives inequality: and how to stop it Wealth taxes are on Rachel Reeves’ agenda. Thomas Piketty has shown why it matters, and how we could stop the growth of inequality

Wealth taxes are back on the agenda – and Prof Richard Murphy shows why the data demands them.

200 years of evidence: capitalism funnels wealth upward unless govts intervene. So what's stopping them?

His must-read analysis👇

The right have spent years complaining about “cancel culture” yet now seem to enjoy using it wherever possible when it suits them. America is in such deep trouble.

Yesterday, the largest far-right protest in UK history marched through London, led by racist Tommy Robinson.

Today, we say: They don’t speak for us — and they won’t have the last word.

This Wednesday we come together against Trump and for a better future. Do everything to be there.

Tommy Robinson’s march was a drunken, coked-up mess He claimed the world was watching, but most of London barely noticed - and much of what was on view was appalling
