It feels stupid for sure but brains all work so differently maybe it genuinely does for them. It's not really for me to decide on their behalf

I've found it's often not about the plot in of itself. Spoiling something means you're robbing that person of the chance to ever experience that story in that specific way and taking an option away from them forever and for many it's an intrinsically frustrating feeling. I don't get upset over-
