I may have severe imposter syndrome (relatable I'm sure to many) but what a privilege I've had to learn from the best, and to continue to interact with the best. To create a game is a miracle each time. I should thank my friends more for making them really.

I am repeatedly floored by the people I have met who are far more creative and kind and smart than they may ever give themselves credit for. And to deprive them of the credit would be a disservice. They're making the best things, and I feel profoundly lucky every time I can share a space with them.

The best leaders in this industry aren’t those who have a hyper-detailed, one-man-show vision of their project. They don’t minimise or claim the work that their teammates do. They are the ones who are excited about what others can bring to the dynamic. Who hold the vision, rather than own it.

It's actually wild to have grown up during post-9/11 psychosis and bloodthirst amongst a lot of adults that I was around and now all of those "nuke the middle east" jokes I'd hear at family gatherings are becoming tangible threats because the guy they voted for literally just posted it online.

The fascists in power will sit there and post through genocide and then say random shit like "X historical massacre was actually caused by the woke left pushing policies like free school lunch" and there's somehow a group of citizens that say "give them the nuclear football!"

When someone in power threatens atrocities there has to be an adult in the room. Our elected officials and members of the ICC need to decide that the adult is going to be them.
