Only took about 3 hours at the hospital in the end. They had to glue it together to stop in bleeding in the end. I now have a comically large bandage on the middle finger of my left hand that makes it look way kite dramatic than it really is.

Ffs I’m having to go to hospital for a cut from a bread knife lmao. It’s not even big but it must be deep because I’ve been doing all the right things to stop the bleeding for over and hour but whenever I take the dressing off it bleeds so much it almost immediately starts dripping on the floor

It’s actually one of my favourite things he ever did, it’s amazing. I think they would have done more together but they ran out of time with him getting ill.

My dad stuck a safety pin through it at some point (lmao) and I had it on my wall with BluTack when I was a teenager, which stained the back a little. It still looks fine but it’s not pristine so I don’t know if anyone would want it like that.

First of all I want to keep it for sentimental value and because it’s cool, secondly, I have no idea what to even sell it for because I’ve only ever seen replica ones for sale, and finally, both me and my dad didn’t treat it well lol.

So they’re listed on the ticket but didn’t play, and the price on the ticket is crossed out and reduced to account for there being less acts (can’t charge more than a pound when it’s ONLY the Sex and the Clash 🤪) . Which is interesting, but I don’t want to sell it anyway.

He also thinks I should sell his ticket to the Anarchy in the UK tour because it’s got interesting history. The Sex Pistols got banned playing by the local authorities and organisers of some dates on the tour for swearing on TV, but the Damned broke rank and played anyway, and got kicked off.

I’m going to keep the album though. It’s cool that it’s a first pressing, but also that means it won’t actually play well because there was a flaw with the first pressing according to my dad that makes it skip.

Basically if you bought one of the first 10,000 copies of their debut album it came with a sticker, and if you sent that away with a coupon from the NME, you got this vinyl.

I took home some of my dad’s Clash vinyls as well as he doesn’t want them anymore. One of them I’m going to try to sell for him because it’s fairly rare.

I managed to rescue my dad’s band’s vinyl and press cuttings from my parents house as well (if left up go to my dad he would chuck it all out, hence the rescue). He’s the guitarist on the left.

I’m not going to try to get all the singles because that way madness lies but I would like to get all the albums. That would mean having to endure the eldritch horror of the cover of The Miracle, but what can you do. Ironically I love that album but the cover photo is a nightmare lol
